The entry period is over, and we have a winner!

There were 73 comments at 12 noon Eastern time (74 originally but I deleted one duplicate entry) and the winner is … #11, Amanda, who said, “It’s beautiful and you never know if another baby may come!”

Giveaway! Family tickets to see Ellis Paul at Mockingbird in Staunton on October 13

I’m super excited about this giveaway — Mockingbird here in downtown Staunton has provided us with family tickets (two adults and two children — a $30 value) to see Ellis Paul in concert this Saturday, October 13, at 2PM.

Mockingbird says: Ellis Paul was a key figure in the Boston folk/pop scene of the late 80s and early 90s where Shawn Colvin, Patty Griffin and Dar Williams also honed their craft. Now after 13 adult contemporary studio albums, he’s released his first offering in the children’s genre, “The Dragonfly Races.” As the Washington Post put it, the recording “may look and feel like a children’s record, but it sounds like a record for people who have children: It’s a collection of songs whose bounciness and subject matter are kid-friendly, but whose content is sophisticated enough for adults.

To enter, simply leave a comment on this post telling us your child’s (or your!) favorite musician.

We’ll choose the winner with the help of random.org at 12 noon on Friday, October 12.

To purchase tickets for the event, or to learn more about the show, please visit Mockingbird’s website.

Giveaway is open to US residents age 18 and older, only.
