Santa Claus will be back for two more visits at Pufferbellies in downtown Staunton before Christmas — Sunday the 18th from 1 to 3PM, and Friday the 23rd from 6 to 8PM.
Our full calendar of events is front and center on our new website — here’s the link!
Here are a couple shots of our 2010 holiday windows. Robbie Lawson engineered and built six “gingerbread” replicas of landmark Staunton buildings: Pufferbellies, the Clocktower, the Masonic building, Staunton Station, Trinity Episcopal Church, and the Stonewall Jackson hotel. These windows are a tribute to our beautiful little city. We hope you enjoy them!
For lots more photos, you can check out Robbie’s album on Facebook.

It’s been a long, cold, snowy winter. But ya know what? Spring is coming. How can we be so sure? Bunnies and lambies and chickies are starting to show up at Pufferbellies! We’ll be putting out a big Easter/Spring display later this week. In the meantime, here’s a sneak peek at a few of our cutest new arrivals.

Hello! We’re recovering from a wonderful, busy, hectic holiday season, and we hope yours was grand.
Pufferbellies will close at 2pm on Thursday, December 31st, and we’ll be closed on New Year’s Day. After that, the following hours will go into effect:
Monday through Saturday: 10am – 6pm
Sunday: noon – 4pm
And don’t forget — our famous weekly Storytime will return from its holiday hiatus next Friday, January 8th, at 10:30am. See you soon.
We’re so excited. For the first time ever, Santa Claus himself will be visiting Pufferbellies in downtown Staunton, Virginia, this December! Santa will be here on the following dates:
Sunday, December 6 — 1PM – 3PM
Friday, December 11 — 6PM – 8PM
Sunday, December 13 — 1PM – 3PM
Friday, December 18 — 6PM – 8PM
Sunday, December 20 — 1PM – 3PM
Our goal is to make this a relaxed, low-pressure time with Santa. Santa will visit with children one at a time in our book department, and parents are welcome to bring their own cameras to record the moment. Please note that there might be a wait to see Santa depending upon how many children arrive. We will assign everyone who wants to visit Santa their own number, and call them when it’s time. No standing in line, and plenty of opportunities to shop and play while you wait. All the children who visit with Santa will get a special treat from Pufferbellies, too.
We’re thrilled to welcome Santa to our store this year, and we can’t wait to see you here, too.
