It’s a big day in the world of children’s literature. ‘Toys Come Home‘, the third installment in Emily Jenkins and Paul O. Zelinsky’s ‘Toys’ trilogy, is out today. (Also out today: ‘Wonderstruck‘ by Brian Selznick, the creator of ‘The Invention of Hugo Cabret’. Yep, a big day.)
We have strong feelings about the ‘Toys’ trilogy here at Pufferbellies. I know that people toss the term “modern classic” around all the time, but I really think these books are just that. They’re funny and profound, with pitch-perfect writing and such incredible heart. To me, these are books that it would be an honest shame to let a child grow up without reading.
