We’ll be attending the Staunton Library’s Friends of the Library meeting next week to take them our donation of $893. The Friends of the Library was December’s Shop Sundays for a Cause recipient.
We donated $759 to Augusta County Friends from our November Shop Sundays program, and they are kindly honoring Pufferbellies with a plaque on their Friends “Organization” Board at the Main Library in Fishersville.
We love and use our local libraries–great sources for information and entertainment. We are happy to be able to support them.
We’re happy to announce that our Shop Sundays for a Cause organization for January and February is Hospice of the Shenandoah’s Camp Dragonfly.
Camp Dragonfly, in the Blue Ridge Mountains, is a special place where children and teens from throughout the area can gather with their peers to share the experience of grieving the death of someone they love. Through playing and sharing, campers realize that their emotions are normal and that what is happening to them is happening to others. Fun is the top priority at Camp Dragonfly. Campers learn that it is O.K. to laugh and play—and that it is not disrespectful to the memory of the person who died. At Camp Dragonfly, many activities are designed to gently and slowly guide each camper through some of the pain of grief. Camp Dragonfly provides a supportive, healing environment where campers can openly express their feelings without fear of being criticized. For more information about Camp Dragonfly, visit http://www.augustamed.com/camp/.
Pufferbellies will donate 10% of all Sunday Sales in January and February to Camp Dragonfly. We are honored to support this cause.
We’re donating 10% of today’s sales to Friends of the Staunton Public Library. Our donation will help purchase books for the Library’s children’s department, which is really in need due to city and state budget cuts.
Our Shop Sundays program has raised more than $5,000 for local nonprofits since September of 2007. Learn more about the program here.
Hellooo! I can’t believe November has flown by already … it went so fast. Now we’re deep into the holiday season — my favorite time of year.
It’s the last Sunday in November, which means you have one more chance to support Friends of the Augusta County Library though our Shop Sundays for a Cause program. We’ll donate 10% of our November Sunday sales to the Friends. (So far in November, we’ve raised $554 for the Friends. Awesome! Today will be the cherry on the sundae.)
In October we raised $334 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Central Blue Ridge, and we raised $354 for Children’s Art Network in September. Thanks for all your supp0rt this fall! In December, our Shop Sundays program will support Friends of the Staunton Library.
Off to crank up the heat and get ready for the day. We’ll open at noon today; hope to see you soon!
